Our Mission
It is our mission to provide our parents and guardians with the HIGHEST QUALITY childcare and to provide our children the opportunity to blossom into full bloom by implementing new experiences and explorations while creating warm memories to all the families we serve.
Children are encouraged to learn and explore at their own pace. When we fulfill our children’s needs of exploration and provide POSITIVE role models and limited boundaries, children then have a basic foundation to build a positive sense of self-worth. Young children learn through the Creative Curriculum which is actively exploring and manipulating their environment through play. Concrete experiences contribute to concept development in the pre-school age child. Through creative play, a powerful tool for young children, the stage is set for the development of the whole child in all areas; cognitive, social, emotional and physical. The teacher’s role is one of researcher, co-learner, negotiator and also monitors the child’s progress through observations and project work.

Little Gems Learning Place is committed to maintaining a staff that offers children a diversified background of experiences and embraces the center’s philosophy. Our teaching staff follows the gold checkpoint program.
Communication is very important to us as we have implemented the ProCare app. This day care specific app allows our parents and teachers to communicate, and you’ll be able to view your child’s daily activity and photos.
Little Gems Learning Place will employ the number of staff needed to meet and/or exceed ODJFS staff/child ratios for the center. Our staff will also be assigned regular hours to provide the children with a consistent environment with activities and curriculums that provide a holistic approach to child development.

A Safe Environment For Your Children To Learn & Grow
Safety
Your child’s safety is of our utmost concern. We take precautions such as locking the doors at all times and utilize technology to further monitor room activity. Our parent in and out policy has allowed us to keep the facility safe for your child.
In addition, our daycare has child proofed all surrounding areas, has staff training in First Aid and CPR and we make sure that safety is a part of our cutlure.
Meals & Snacks

Meals & Snacks
Little Gems Learning Place provides nutritional meals. In consideration of allergies and licensing requirements “absolutely no food can be brought into the center, with the exception of Infant/Toddler rooms”.
Below are the following meals and snacks:
Breakfast 7am-9am | Lunch: 11am-11:45am | PM Snack 2:30pm – 3pm
Morning snack will be provided to toddlers.

Rates
Private Pay & PFCC Are Accepted
Rates
Little Gems Learning Place will serve private-pay and PFCC parents. To provide equal pricing to our private pay clients, we will use the ODJFS guidelines as a pay scale for our private pay (tuition) parents. These rates will change on a yearly basis consistent with ODJFS rates. Please contact center Director for current private pay rates.
The PFCC parent subsidy qualifcations are based on ODJFS guidelines.
